The seventh bienniel Australasian Newborn Hearing Screening Conference was hosted by the National Screening Unit and Ministry of Education in Auckland in May. More than 240 delegates attended over two days, for presentations, discussions and workshops which focused on continuing to build the success of the Newborn Hearing Screening (NHS) programmes across the region.

Sexual assault awareness campaign goes from strength to strength

It is estimated that one in four women and one in 20 men are sexually assaulted at some time in their lives, and many more sexual assaults go unreported. Who Are You? is a short online film that seeks to reduce sexual violence by calling on mates and bystanders to step in when something isn’t right. Clinical Manager of Wellington Sexual Health Service Kim Lund talks to us about the campaign that’s received national and international recognition.
