PRESS RELEASE: 22 January 2013
PCFNZ CEO Appointed
Paul Norfolk has been appointed as CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand (PCFNZ) from 28 January. His
background includes 25 years in the corporate world, a decade running an executive solutions, sales, marketing and
events management consultancy, and over 7 years as CEO of a not-for-profit organisation. He has considerable experience
in establishing and enhancing business and media relationships, managing national and international sponsorship and
fundraising projects, and developing strong relationships/partnerships and alliances with volunteer organisations,
sponsors, stakeholders, and funding entities.
Since 2010 the Prostate Cancer Foundation has strengthened its governance structures and established sound management
systems. The President of the Foundation, Mark von Dadelszen, said that Mr Norfolk will build on the sound foundations
established by his predecessor. “Paul brings a set of experiences and skills to the CEO’s role which will assist the
Foundation to establish more support groups around the country, create greater awareness of prostate cancer issues, and
to raise funds to support the Foundation’s work.”
PCFNZ supports men who have prostate or testicular cancer and their families, seeks to increase public awareness of
prostate and testicular cancers, educates the public about prostate and testicular cancers, and funds research into
improved methods of diagnosis and treatment.
