College of GPs congratulates new head of WONCA
The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners congratulates Dr Garth Manning on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA), says Acting College President Dr Tim Malloy.
“We congratulate Dr Garth Manning on being appointed head of WONCA. It’s very pleasing that a colleague from the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK is taking up this key role in advancing general practice globally.
“Dr Manning’s extensive experience of health care system reform and development around the world will be a huge asset to the organisation, I’m sure.
“We also thank Dr Alfred Loh for his excellent work and commitment as WONCA’s CEO and wish him well for his retirement.”
The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is a full foundation member of WONCA.
