Pacific Jewellers Wellington Cup Carnival To Support Mary Potter Hospice
The Wellington Racing Club Pacific Jewellers Wellington Cup Carnival 2012 will be supporting Mary Potter Hospice in a new charity initiative the Hospice announced today.
Wellington Cup Carnival main sponsor, Pacific Jewellers, has produced specially designed lapel pins in the shape of the Wellington Cup. The pins will be on sale during the lead up and on the three days of the Carnival with the proceeds going to Mary Potter Hospice.
“We are delighted that Pacific Jewellers and the Wellington Cup Carnival organisers have chosen us as the charity for their support,” says Graham Ford, Hospice spokesperson.
“It is a great idea to use this iconic Wellington event to raise funds for a long standing Wellington charity.”
“Mary Potter Hospice touches the lives of many Wellingtonians providing a free service at a time of great need in their lives. Sales of these special pins will be a great help to us as demand for our services grows,” says Graham Ford.
People purchasing a pin can go into a draw to win a trip for two to Rarotonga staying at the Muri Beach Club Hotel.
Pins are on sale from from January 16 from selected Wellington retailers, including The Warehouse, ANZ and National Banks, on line at www.marypotter.org.nz, or at Trentham Racecourse on Carnival Days January 21, 23 and 28.
