Bupa Care Services Rank In Top Aged Care Providers

Cashmere View Rest Home and Hospital in Christchurch is celebrating their recent achievement of a 4 Year Certification period following their audit against the Health and Disability Services Standards and Aged Residential care contracts.

Held in high regard, the 4 Year Certification provides Residents and Family’s with peace of mind that they are receiving care that meets a high standard. Bupa are one of the leading providers in the aged care sector currently with five care homes with a four year certification.

The other four homes are Cornwall Park and Hillsborough in Auckland, The Booms in Thames and Accadia Manor in Tauranga. Based on the Ministry of Health website figures, Bupa are in the top 3% of New Zealand aged care providers that have a 4 years certification.

The site indicates that there are only a total of 15 homes that have achieved 4 year certification in New Zealand across over 600 homes. “We are continuously improving the quality of the service we provide and this means improving our systems and the way we do things.

We are proud to have such a high percentage of our homes with a 4 Year Certification and are pleased that there is this recognised standard” said, Gina Langlands, General Manager of Quality and Risk at Bupa. Each of the 45 Bupa Care Homes in New Zealand undergoes regular audit against the Standards and these reports are available on the Bupa website www.bupa.co.nz.

Audit reports for all Residential Care facilities are also available on the Ministry of Health site www.moh.govt.nz . These audits can be valuable for people looking for a care provider as this is an external check that is completed regularly. Each Care Home within Bupa Care Services NZ undergoes regular audit against the NZ Health & Disability Sector Standards.

Compliance with each of the 249 standards is rated by standard criteria including Continuous Improvement where criterion are fully attained, with the service demonstrating continued review and improvement.
