Hearing Awareness Week 21-27 August
Hearing Awareness Week 21-27 August
Imagine a world without sound; hearing the phone, doorbell or even the baby cry.
This Hearing Awareness Week 21-27 August aims to allow people living with a hearing impairment to share their stories and generate understanding of their needs and aspirations.
Tunstall Healthcare understands the desire for autonomy experienced by people living with special and ongoing needs, including a hearing impairment.
Tunstall aims to assist by providing Bellman and Symfon’s range of specialty care transmitters, receivers and sensors.
The Bellman Visit Pager Receiver can be connected to the doorbell, baby monitor, pressure mat, smoke alarm and more, alerting the wearer of on goings in the home.
Additionally, the pager or Bellman Visit Flash Receiver can be connected to a wireless radio trigger pendant, fall detector or other specialty devices to alert if someone being cared for in the home has had an incident and needs assistance.
As well as vibrating or flashing white light, the pager and flash receiver feature coloured LED lights to alert the wearer what device has been activated so the wearer can respond accordingly.
Living with a hearing impairment does not have to mean the loss of independence or ability to care for loved ones.
