Press Release: Home and Family Counselling

Home and Family Counselling’s blog at http://homeandfamilycounselling.wordpress.com/ reinforces that counselling is a ‘tool’ for people in traumatic situations that helps them find ways to move forward.

“While counsellors help people deal with the situation on hand, positive changes and decisions have to be made by the client themselves. The blog we have launched is in many ways an extension of our service to the larger community, says Mary Gray , Executive Director, Home and Family Counselling. Our articles are geared towards self-help and we have an interesting line-up of topics from our counsellors who have a range of experience and focus.

The blogs are short yet filled with practical ideas and there will be something in it for everyone. We encourage comments from readers and also welcome suggestions for topics that deal with other areas of need.”

Subscribing to the blog will enable these articles to be delivered to your inbox. The initial list of topics drawn up for the coming months are:

• The boredom factor ( in time for school holidays)

• Motivation : where does it come from and where does it go

• Bullying

• Staying healthy as you get older

• Understanding Kiwi culture
