PHARMAC welcomes PTAC reappointment

PHARMAC is welcoming the reappointment of Waikato Hospital physician Dr Graham Mills to the Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advisory Committee (PTAC).

PTAC is a committee of 12 hospital and community health professionals who provide advice to PHARMAC on medicine funding applications. Members are appointed by the Director-General of Health.

Dr Mills, a specialist in treating infectious diseases, was first appointed to the committee in 2008.

PHARMAC Medical Director Dr Peter Moodie says: “The reappointment ensures continuity in PTAC’s membership, and I look forward to Dr Mills continuing to make his insightful contributions to the work PTAC is undertaking.”
