All General Practice teams and most pharmacies are open in Eastern Suburbs

People living in the Eastern suburbs are urged to call their General Practice Team if they are sick as all clinics and most pharmacies are open.

Primary care coordinator Philip Schroeder said it was important people continued to take medicines, use inhalers and call their doctor or pharmacy if they had run out.

Dr Schroeder said, if it was possible, it was important people saw their usual GP who had their patient information and a record of medicines they had previously been prescribed.

“If for some reason people can’t get hold of their own doctor or if they didn’t have a usual General Practice they should ring 03 365 7777.

“It‘s really important people don’t delay seeing their GP if they are sick or feel that their health has worsened,” he said.

Usual after hours services are in place.
