Voluntary recall of Sealord products due to traces of peanut

Sealord Group Limited are voluntarily recalling selected batches of Calamari Chips and Captain’s Choice fish after discovering trace levels of peanut in the product.

Batches affected are:
Sealord Calamari Chips
400g Best Before: 03 FEB 2012
Batch Code: 0246

Captain's Choice Battered Fish Portions 480g
Best Before: 02 NOV 2011
Batch Code: 0214
Products contain traces of undeclared peanut.

Consumers who are allergic to peanuts are advised not to consume these products. There have been no reports of injury but any person concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Consumers not allergic to peanuts can safely consume these products. These products are sold in supermarkets throughout New Zealand. Customers should return the product to the retailer they purchased from for a full refund.
