Crusaders to visit Burwood Hospital Spinal Unit patients

Crusaders to visit Burwood Hospital Spinal Unit patients

Tuesday 1 February, 2011

Patients at Burwood Hospital’s Spinal Unit will have a special visit from two Canterbury Crusaders next week.

Graham Tapper, Programme Co-ordinator for the Spinal Unit says the Crusaders have an ongoing relationship with the Burwood Spinal Unit.

“They come in to visit quite regularly when training and games permit. They help raise the morale of patients and their families. It’s also a great opportunity to raise awareness of and help educate the community about rugby spinal injury risks,” says Graham.

The players are scheduled to visit the spinal unit at 4.30pm on Tuesday, 1 February 2011. Which players will attend will not be confirmed until on the day.
