CTU regrets Snedden’s departure

The CTU is disappointed to hear that Pat Snedden will not have the opportunity to continue as Chair of Auckland DHB despite wanting to remain in the role.

“Pat Snedden has made an invaluable contribution to the Health Sector and his skill, acumen and leadership will be sadly lost in a sector which needs these qualities now more than ever,” said CTU Vice President Richard Wagstaff.

“Pat Snedden has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the work of the Health Sector Relationship Agreement.” The HSRA is a tripartite body with DHB, union and Government representation which promotes better ways of working in the health sector.

“Pat played a pivotal role working on the landmark National Terms of Settlement process earlier this year. He showed inspirational leadership on the terms of settlement which saw 90 percent of the health sector receive a common pay raise. We are disappointed that he won’t be able to continue in this work.”

“The CTU would like to wish Pat all the best in his future career.”
