Putting People Together Again

Putting People Together Again

10 September

As residents continue to clean up after the series of earthquakes that have put everyone on edge throughout the region we are only just now starting to realize the human cost. Those affected most are the ones who have lost everything and those most impressionable. However, as aftershocks continue many people are starting to show signs of stress and anxiety. In response to the clear need Peter Campbell, a local NLP master practitioner, is offering 40% discounts off to all people who are feeling traumatized by recent events. Peter has spent four years working in the Russian Federation. He has treated people suffering trauma as a result of severe physical violence and sexual abuse. He is now offering trauma counselling at discounted rates for individuals and entire families.

‘The beauty of the NLP approach to trauma recovery is that instead of focusing on the problems we simply deal with the solutions. The NLP approach to trauma counselling has been used in a wide variety of settings from working with Vietnam veterans with PTSD to victims of genocide in Bosnia and Serbia this approach is known for its effectiveness and efficiency,’ Peter explains.

Peter Campbell grew up in Christchurch and studied at the University of Canterbury before receiving a scholarship for post-graduate study in Russia. He recently returned to Christchurch and is dismayed by the destruction caused to his home town by the recent earthquakes. ‘I have travelled through the Balkans and seen cities ravaged by war, but its distressing to see buildings so severely damaged here in New Zealand.’ He confessed that he always thought of New Zealand as a refuge.

‘I can’t wait till we’ve put Christchurch back together again,’ he says with an optimistic smile, ‘and I’ll do my bit to make sure we aren’t shocked next time we shake.’
