Science, Consciousness and Spirituality: The Power of Relationship
International experts in alternative
approaches to healthcare will be gathering in Auckland this
October for New Zealand's largest conference on the power of
spirituality and consciousness in healing.
The special
guest speakers will shed light on exciting new evidence
emerging from studies in distant healing effects and
intuitive healing, describing effects that are beyond the
bounds of time, space, and the material.
Conference
convenor Dr Louisa Walker says there is increasing
understanding globally of the role of consciousness in
healing, based on scientific evidence that is transforming
our understanding of health and wellness.
"We are
experiencing a revolution -- a genuine paradigm shift -- in
science and medicine based on the primacy of consciousness.
We are entering an era in healing and healthcare where
consciousness has a primary, fundamental role to play," says
Dr Walker.
The 'Science, Consciousness and
Spirituality: The Power of Relationship' conference will
bring together speakers in the forefront of research into
this new approach to healing. The conference will explore
the non-local nature of mind including our ability to
experience and describe distant events blocked from ordinary
perception that are at work in the healing relationship.
Conference speaker Dr Larry Dossey, best know for his
research on the effects of prayer in healing, describes our
current medical system as Era I medicine. Era II medicine
includes alternative mindbody approaches to healthcare. He
further describes Era III Medicine that goes well beyond
conventional medical interventions aimed at a "fix" or cure.
He will explore distant or non-local consciousness-oriented
healing.
Dr Marilyn Mandala Schlitz, a leader in
studies on indigenous healing and how it can complement
modern medicine explores links between mind and matter
revealed in world wisdom traditions and ancient healing
beliefs and practices.
Physicist Dr Russell Targ,
co-founder of the previously secret psychic research program
at the Stanford Research Institute will describe remote
viewing including exciting evidence for extrasensory
perception, precognition, intuitive diagnosis and distant
healing.
Dr Walker says that there is widespread interest in the concept of spirituality in health, and the conference is a rare opportunity for anyone with an interest in alternative healing to interact with some of the leaders in this field.
The 2010 Science Consciousness and Spirituality Conference will be held from October 15th at Hopetoun Alpha and then October 16-17 2010 at AUT University, Akoranga Campus, Auckland. Conference attendance Saturday and Sunday costs $395.
