Leading NZ Health Company Molemap Wins Cisco $100k Communications Makeover Competition

AUCKLAND, June 3, 2010; Cisco New Zealand today announced that leading early detection skin cancer health company, MoleMap, has won the 2010 Cisco $100k Communications Makeover Competition.

Selected from over 130 entries, MoleMap will receive $100k worth of technology and installation services sponsored by Cisco.

In its third year, the Cisco Communications Makeover competition offers New Zealand businesses the chance to transform the way they operate through the use of smart and targeted collaboration technologies. In 2010, Cisco doubled the competition prize package to offer $100,000 worth of Cisco Collaboration solutions to the successful competition winner.

“We are really excited for MoleMap with this win,” said Cisco Country Manager, Geoff Lawrie. “MoleMap is a well established business with clinics throughout New Zealand that offer important health checks for the early detection of skin cancer.”

“As the winner of the Cisco $100k Communications Makeover, the opportunity we see for them is to improve collaboration across their mobile workforce, their clinics in New Zealand and Australia, and with the internationally-based dermatologists they work with.”

“The Cisco Communications Makeover is all about offering businesses technology-based business solutions to gain productivity and efficiencies to support growth and innovation. MoleMap fits that brief extremely well.”

Mostly, we look forward to having the chance to really consider how the right technology can better enable our business to reach its goals.”

The 2010 $100k Cisco Communications Makeover was open to all New Zealand businesses with between 20 and 100 employees.
Entries were assessed by a Cisco-led panel of experts with external expertise being offered by Brett O’Riley, NZICT Group Chief Executive Officer.
