NZ Water Safety Conference Trade Display, Awards

Water Safety Awards
We wanted to remind you that entries for the inaugural New Zealand Water Safety Awards close in two weeks on 31 October 2009.

Not only does the winner of each category receive $5000 towards professional development, but they also get national recognition and an opportunity to share their success with their industry colleagues.

There are three categories in which an organisation can enter an award: Education, Awareness, and Prevention. It is possible to enter more than one category. Whether it’s a grassroots initiative or a national policy, if it fits the award criteria, we look forward to receiving your entry.

There is also a category which recognises an individual’s contribution to water safety. If you know someone in the community whose dedication and commitment deserves acknowledgment, we encourage you to nominate them.

Visit www.watersafety.org.nz for nomination forms and the Terms of Reference.

Conference update
We are thrilled with the response we are receiving to the New Zealand Water Safety Conference ‘Charting the Future’ which takes place 26-27 November 2009, at Te Papa in Wellington.

The quality of our key note speakers, our interactive workshop and informative break-out sessions are attracting lots of interest.

If you haven’t yet registered, don’t delay! Places are filling fast! Phone 04 801-9600 or visit www.watersafety2009.org.nz to secure your place.

Trade exhibitors
The conference provides a unique marketing opportunity for a select group of trade exhibitors.

Our conference delegates come from a broad range of the water safety community – from government department officials to commercial tourism operators. As the conference’s focus is planning for the future, most of those attending are leaders and decision makers.

If you are interested in having a trade display at the conference, please contact Lu at watersafety@cmsl.co.nz.
