The Arthritis Appeal Needs Your Help
The Arthritis Appeal needs your help
Arthritis New Zealand is asking volunteers to put their hands up to help with the Arthritis Annual Appeal.
This is the main fundraising drive for the year, and the organisation needs generous people willing to donate their time for this worthy cause.
Every year, staff and volunteers dress up in orange and collect on the streets of New Zealand. With baskets of orange Gerberas you won’t be able to miss them.
“We are here to enable a better quality of life for over 500,000 New Zealanders with arthritis. Every dollar raised goes directly to providing vital services to those with this debilitating disease. What’s more, the money raised is distributed in the area it was collected.”
“People are essential to Arthritis New Zealand’s efforts in providing these support services. That’s why we need the community to get in behind us.”
This year the Annual Appeal is focussing on the difficulties that many people with arthritis are faced with every day.
Appeal week starts with the National Street Day Collection on Friday 25th September and runs through to 2nd October
If you have an hour or two to spare, call 0800 663 463 to talk to your local Arthritis Service Centre.
