Woman Dies Of Swine Flu In Dunedin Hospital

This statement is sent on behalf of Otago and Southland DHBs' H1N1 Incident Controller Leanne Samuel
Otago District Health Board confirms that a 30 year old woman died in Dunedin Hospital of Novel Influenza H1N1 on Sunday, 16 August. The woman did not have any pre-existing medical conditions prior to her admission on Tuesday, 28 July
The family do not wish for any further details to be released about the woman. They have specifically asked that the media does not intrude on their grief and that this request please be respected.
