Kids helping Kids at Charity Breakfast with Canterbury Rugby Squad

Canterbury kids will have the chance to have a healthy breakfast, meet the Canterbury rugby squad and help raise money for sick kids at the ‘Classic Hits Kids Breakfast with the Canterbury Squad’ being held on Tuesday 14 July from 7.30am at Wilding Park to raise money for Ronald McDonald House South Island.

Kids will have the chance to meet their rugby heroes while they have a healthy breakfast and then have some ‘hands-on’ drills and expert advice afterwards. Andrew Britt, Classic Hits 97.7FM General Manager said “It’s going to be a fantastic experience for the kids and a great date to put in your school holiday diary. Jason Gunn and Dave Fitzgerald from ‘The Classic Hits Big Breakfast’ will be hosting the event and the presenters from What Now and Ronald McDonald himself will also be coming along. It’s going to be all on – the kids will certainly need that healthy breakfast!"

Ronald McDonald House South Island Corporate Sponsorship Manager Lizzie Dyer is thrilled with the support from the Canterbury Rugby Union, Classic Hits and all the businesses that are supporting the breakfast. “Kids helping to raise money for sick kids is very special and a fun way to help us to keep on providing free accommodation and support for the families of sick children needing hospital care in Christchurch."

Tickets are $30 each and are available for primary aged children only. There will be an on-site café open where parent and caregivers can buy breakfast while their kids have all the fun. Further details are at www.rmhsi.org.nz and tickets can be bought by contacting Sharon Amataiti, Corporate Fundraising Coordinator at sharon@rmhsi.org.org or ph 377 3311 extension 706. Tickets are limited.
