One man’s junk, is another man’s treasure

One man’s junk, is another man’s treasure
Christmas is a time for giving – and while it’s the thought that counts it’s inevitable that there will be a gift or two that may leave you asking…’was this really meant for me?!?!’ Fear not – now you can get rid of your unwanted Christmas gifts – guilt free – because if you sell them on Trade Me you can choose to round up your success fee and donate it to Plunket.
Those cartoon neckties, ill fitting cardies and woolly socks could be traded in for something you really want – and your donation could help Plunket to help New Zealand children in communities all over New Zealand. All you need to do is select “Plunket” when listing an item for auction and the seller’s fee will be rounded up to the nearest dollar with the difference being donated to Plunket – donating to charity couldn’t be easier!
Money received from Trade Me auctions goes towards the many Plunket services within our communities. Car seat rental schemes that provide parents with a variety of affordable, safe car seats for their children; free parenting education courses, so that parents can understand how their child develops and learns, and parent groups which give parents the opportunity to get together and learn from each other in a fun, relaxed environment are just some examples.
Trade Me and the Trade Me community of sellers has been kindly helping Plunket since October 2007 and has raised over $55,000 to help kids get a great start in life.
