New laboratory services for Hawke’s Bay begin 1 March

From Thursday 1 March, Hawke’s Bay District Health Board and Southern Community Laboratories will be working in partnership to provide laboratory services for Hawke’s Bay people.

HBDHB’s CEO, Chris Clarke, says “The new relationship between the two laboratories will not only improve the way laboratory services are provided, but offers some exciting opportunities for us to work collaboratively with Primary Health Organisations, general practitioners and the community”.

“For the public it will be pretty much business as usual. The full range of lab testing services will still be available throughout Hawke’s Bay – from Wairoa, Napier, Hastings and Central Hawke’s Bay” adds Mr Clarke.

Ian Vickers, Southern Community Laboratories CEO, says “We are looking forward to working with the DHB to continue providing high quality, customer focussed services that the public and clinicians of Hawke’s Bay currently enjoy”.
