On Thursday 13 July Dev-Zone is showing the Movie a Black Road...
The Black Road - On the Front Line Of Aceh's War
A film by William Nessen
Aceh, an Indonesian province located at the tip of the island of Sumatra, has been the scene of a quarter of a century of separatist struggles. Although the province received much attention after being one of the worst hit areas of the 2004 tsunami, not much is known about the long struggle for Aceh independence - until now. Follow journalist-turned-filmmaker William Nessen as he steps into the lives and experience the deaths of Aceh's guerrillas, its human rights activists and its ordinary farmers. March with the demonstrators and witness the massacres that follow in this 52-minute documentary, labeled a "tremendous must-see film" for anyone interested in and concerned with Aceh.
