Successful prosecution under Smokefree Environment Amendment Act
The Ministry of Health is very happy with the result of a court case in which a publican faced charges under the Smokefree Environment Amendment Act.
The Group Manager of Communicable Disease and Environmental Health Policy, Graeme Gillespie, says it is pleasing that the decision has come out in support of this important health legislation.
"We're pleased that the steps that licencee's must take under the law have been supported with this decision," Mr Gillespie says.
