Temperatures Rising In Primary Health – Pay Parity For Primary Health Petition Presentation
Temperatures are rising in the primary health care nursing workforce, as the pay gap widens between them and their counterparts in public hospitals.
On Thursday 15 December at 1pm a delegation of New Zealand Nurses Organisation members in primary health will present a petition to MPs representing a range of political parties, including Labour, the Green Party, National and NZ First.
The petition calls for additional government funding for pay parity for the nursing workforce in primary health with their counterparts in DHBs.
That funding will be necessary for the successful outcome of MECA (multi-employer collective agreement) negotiations for nearly three thousand NZNO primary health members which begin on December 20.
