NOTICE US! Blind Week street collections begin Friday!
A volunteer army kitted out in fluoro orange arrow hats and bright, bright vests will hit the streets Friday-Sunday as part of the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind’s largest annual appeal.
We must raise $1.1m this week so we can deliver critical services to blind, deafblind and vision-impaired people, ranging from infants and their families to people over 100 years old.
Only a third of our $21m annual operating budget comes from government sources. The rest comes mainly from donations, legacies and sponsorships.
“We’re doing everything we can to get kiwis to NOTICE US this Blind Week. If we get their attention, we know they will donate. Without the public’s support, we simply could not deliver the services that our members so need,” says Dianne Armstrong, Group Manager, Regional Fundraising.
You can also donate $3 by texting BLIND to 883.
Please NOTICE US this Blind Week!
