2005 'In The Pink' Fashion Show A Sell Out
Tickets for one of the fashion events of the year, The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation's 'In the Pink' fashion show, have sold out, organisers said today.
The 15 July fashion show, which is being hosted at SKYCITY by popular performer and personality Jackie Clarke, will help raise funds to support the Foundation's breast cancer community education and research programmes.
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation spokesperson Helen Mawn says she has been staggered at the level of public support for the show.
"For the 600 tickets to sell out 10 days prior to the event is just amazing. We really appreciate the support from the public, SKYCITY and the designers involved."
This year's show features a top line up of New Zealand designers including Helen Cherry, Jane Rhodes, World and Zambesi.
Other leading fashion names showing at the event include Adrienne Winkelmann, Andrea Moore, Annah Stretton, Doris De Pont, Helen Talbot, Laurie Foon, Liz Mitchell, and Triumph Lingerie.
'In the Pink' also features glamorous door prizes, a raffle and an auction of 15 luxury items including prizes from Christian Dior, Giltrap Prestige and Treetops Lodge.
Ms Mawn says members of the public still have a chance to attend the show - if they're lucky enough to win one of two competitions for tickets.
The winner of a competition on the www.skycityauckland.co.nz website will receive a one-on-one consultation with fashion guru Paula Ryan, lunch with Paula at SKYCITY's new signature restaurant dine by Peter Gordon, and two tickets to 'In the Pink'.
The Viva Breakfast radio show on 98.2FM is offering listeners a night of luxury - two tickets to 'In The Pink' and accommodation for two at the new five-star SKYCITY Grand Hotel, plus breakfast.
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation aims to reduce the number of New Zealanders who die from breast cancer and improve outcomes and quality of life for those affected by breast cancer.
SKYCITY Auckland has sponsored the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation since 2000.
