MeNZB™ teams take to the streets tomorrow in Maraenui
In a bid to make it easier for people in Maraenui to take advantage of the free MeNZB™ vaccinations, Te Kupenga Hauora, Kahungunu Health Services (Choices) and the DHB’s immunisation team are setting up a clinic in the Faith Family Fellowship Church at 34 Bledisloe Road in the Maraenui Shopping Centre.
The clinic will run from 9:00am – 4:30pm.
The immunisation is free for babies aged from six weeks to under five years old and out-of-school youth (aged under 20). School-age children and young people are being offered the vaccination at school.
People can consent on the day and experienced staff will be on hand to answer any questions about meningococcal disease and the vaccine.
To provide optimum protection, children need to have three doses of MeNZB (by injection) spaced around six weeks apart.
Maraenui Clinic dates: 14 June 2005, 26 July 2005, 6 September 2005 & 18 October 2005.
