IMAC's MeNZB Claim: Provide Evidence or
Withdraw Opinion
Ron Law & Barbara Sumner
Burstyn
"IMAC's dramatic statement today that the MeNZB(tm) vaccine is working in South Auckland needs to be substantiated by science or withdrawn as a cruel hoax," say risk and policy analyst, Ron Law and writer/researcher Barbara Sumner Burstyn.
This is especially so given that Nikki Turner declared that the MeNZB debate should be "based on science and not opinion."
"We challenge Nikki Turner to make public her scientific evidence that the vaccine is working or withdraw her opinion."
On national radio the Principal MeNZB(tm) researcher assessing effectiveness of the vaccine stated that it may not be possible to determine whether the vaccine has worked given the fact that its introduction coincided with the natural decline in the epidemic. Other experts stated that it may be several years before the effectiveness of the vaccine is known. Does Dr Turner know something they do not?
We attach our evidence that suggests that the MeNZB(tm) vaccine is not making one iota of difference to the decline in meningococcal disease in South Auckland -- the epidemic was declining naturally before the vaccine was introduced, and has, if anything, slowed up since the vaccine's introduction.

The public was promised that the vaccine would "halt the epidemic..."
It's time for IMAC to walk the talk... put up its evidence, or withdraw its opinion.
