BOARDS TO STOP 40% CUT TO PSYCHOLOGISTS PAY
“Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District Health Boards have informed Wellington Clinical Psychologists that they will make no further 40% pay cuts and will reinstate pay to those already docked,” said Nadine Marshall, Secretary of the National Union of Public Employees (NUPE) today.
“NUPE had lodged an injunction with the Employment Relations Authority last Thursday to stop the Board making further deductions from members’ pay,” said Nadine Marshall. “In light of the Board’s concession above, the application for injunction will not now need to proceed.”
“The 60 plus Wellington Clinical Psychologists are currently continuing with the low level action which involves not taking on new clients,” said Nadine Marshall.
“There will be a mediation on Thursday 26th May in Wellington in a move to progress the negotiations for a 30% catch-up with nurses and doctors,” said Nadine Marshall.
