Foundation of the Blind on-line extravaganza
Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind on-line
extravaganza!
The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind (RNZFB) is ready to create an online fundraising experience. In just a weeks time on May 10 the RNZFB launches its on-line auction fundraising campaign. Hosted by trademe.co.nz the on-auction boasts a selection of products, packages and experiences up for public bidding with all money raised helping to support blind, deaf-blind and vision-impaired New Zealanders.
The auction will culminate on May 17 at a special live-auction cocktail event held at the Hilton Auckland. 300 lucky guests will be able to bid on some exceptionally exclusive items, enjoy live entertainment and gorgeously crafted canapés by award winning restaurant White. This event will round up what the RNZFB is sure will be one of their most successful fundraising events yet.
Many of the unique and exclusive auction items up for public bidding are priceless! So priceless they are guaranteed to create competitive offers. Some of the more sought after items include:
- Carrington Lodge package: including Jaguar car for the weekend, accommodation, two rounds of golf with cart and a set of golf clubs from the Golf House.
- Be part of Team Tasman at the V8 Touring cars at Bathurst.
- Overseas travel tickets with Singapore Airlines.
- Website management and development package from Solutionist Ltd, an Auckland based website system specialist.
- Morning tea with the Dunedin, Timaru, Waitaki or Ashburton Mayor.
- Exclusively signed memorabilia from Rachel Hunter, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sean Fitzpatrick and Eric Rush.
Most of the items up for auction have been kindly donated by members of New Zealand’s public and business corporations. A full list of items is continually updated on the RNZFB auction website http://www.blindbid.org.nz.
With only a week before the online auction gets underway there are sure signs that this year’s line-up will create fantastic results for the RNZFB. The RNZFB is a non profit organisation that provides rehabilitation, habilitation and support services for blind, deafblind and vision-impaired New Zealander’s. The Foundation recognised the window of opportunity to use the internet as a modern fundraising tool in 2004. In 2005, following this success, some exciting new aspects, packages and experiences have been sought to guarantee new and exciting opportunities for bidders and supporters.
