Meningitis Trust Toddle Waddle

24th January

Meningitis Trust Toddle Waddle – It’s a Doddle!

After much anticipation Toddle Waddle is back! The Meningitis Trust are calling on all playgroups, kindergartens, childminders, nannies and parents to join us now to take part in this fun sponsored walk for children and their carers which will take place from the 14th – 20th March 2005.

Children wishing to waddle, toddle, hop skip or jump in the fight against meningitis are invited to join Monty the Duck and the Meningitis Trust in this year’s event and help fight the infectious disease that kills more under fives than any other.

Patron of the Meningitis Trust, Kevin Milne is encouraging people to join in saying, “Last year was my first experience with the Toddle Waddle and I loved it. It's simple, it's fun and it's for an outstanding cause. You get to dress up, be a bit silly, share a few laughs. The Fight for Life might bring in the big bucks. But the Toddle Waddle brings in the little ones. And that's vitally important to the Meningitis Trust. Remember, with our kids help, we can quack it!”

Every dollar raised from the waddles will go towards towards supporting the hundreds of children and families who every year face this devastating disease.

Event Organiser Nicola Garland said, “This is a big event for kindies, playcentres and toddler groups to get involved with and really make a difference to the lives of children affected by meningitis. In fact anyone can join in and waddle anywhere they want, from their local park, or playgroup or even round their own garden. We will back you every step of the way by sending you a free pack full of fun ideas, balloons, stickers and Monty the duck hats for children to make”.

Register your Toddle Waddle event online today at www.toddlewaddle.org or call our events team on 09 428 0828. All registrations received before the 18th February will go in the draw to win a fabulous prize.
