Bold Perspectives Conference registrations open
Registrations for the Bold Perspectives, Shared Objectives Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Conference opened today.
Hosted by ACC, the forward-looking conference will take place in Auckland at the Carlton Hotel, 21 – 23 March 2005.
Thirty-two invited speakers from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Sweden, and New Zealand will cover a range of topics relating to economic, demographic and community perspectives on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Keynote speakers include:
Professor
David Walters: Professor of Work Environment Cardiff
University School of Social Sciences. Previously he was
Professor of Occupational and Environmental Safety and
Health at South Bank University, London and he is editor of
IOSH's international academic journal, Policy and Practice
in Health and Safety.
Paul Kells: Founder of the Safe
Communities Foundation of Canada, which helps grassroots
community coalitions to make their homeland “the safest
country in the world in which to live, learn, work and
play”.
Steve Longford: Former head of the Queensland
Police Service’s Violent Crime Analysis Unit is a
behavioural analyst. He has spent the past three years
researching and combining different facets of profiling,
psychology, deception detection, body language,
Neuro-Linguistic Programming and interview methodologies
into a single tool called Behavioural Intelligence.
Richard Pimental: An American expert on disability management, job recruitment, job retention, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and attitude change. He has designed and implemented return to work systems for the private sector and government employers throughout the United States.
