Clock ticking for prospective DHB board members
People wanting to stand for election to the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board have until midday this Friday, 20 August to have their nomination forms completed and in to the DHB’s electoral officer, Peter Woodroffe.
To date nine nominations have been received for the seven positions on the board – and six of these are from existing board members.
“Anyone thinking about standing had better get their skates on,” said Chris Clarke. “It is disappointing to note that we haven’t had any nominations from people in the Wairoa area,” he said. “We would like to see all geographic areas represented on board.
“Don’t leave it till the last minute as the cut-off time is fixed - it would be a pity for someone’s nomination to be invalid because it arrived late.
“At this late stage, nominations should be couriered or hand-delivered to reach Peter Woodroffe before midday on Friday. They should be delivered to the reception at the Hastings District Council’s Civic Administration Building, Lyndon Road East, Hastings,” Chris Clarke said.
Information packs are available at all council offices in Hawke’s Bay, and from the main reception at Hawke’s Bay Hospital, Hastings.
