Fish Out Your Coins For A Leukaemia Cure

Fish Out Your Coins For A Cure

Leukaemia & Blood Foundation Appeal Week 12 - 18 November 2002

Round it Up The Leukaemia and Blood Foundation is asking shoppers visiting New World supermarkets during the 12th - 17th November to 'Round Up' their grocery bill in support of its 'Coins for a Cure for Leukaemia' appeal. People can make a donation by asking checkout staff to round up their grocery bill by whatever amount they would like.

Jim Hamilton, Leukaemia & Blood Foundation said: "Round it Up' is a really easy way for people to get involved in appeal week and support the fight to find a cure for Leukaemia. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and the money raised goes some way towards making a difference to the lives of Leukaemia sufferers and their families."

Make A Bald Statement Those looking for a more daring way to show their support during appeal week can get involved in 'Shave for a Cure'. Last year Brett Arnold, a branch manager for Stevenson Massey, raised a staggering $10,000 for shedding his locks with the help of friends, family and his company. This year the hunt is on to find other individuals, companies or clubs who would like to take up the shave challenge and try and beat Brett's record.

People can either host their own event or go along to one of the official Shave for a Cure events, hosted by King of Shaves, and make a donation to have their head, eyebrows, legs, chest, in fact any part of their body shaved that is not too risqué.
