Bird's-Eye View Into Forest

A five-metre high tower that will give a bird's-eye view of the Travis Wetland will be opened this weekend. The tower is part of the boardwalk track at the wetland. This track will eventually go around the whole wetland.

The opening of the tower will coincide with Arbor Day plantings on Saturday 10 June. Planters will meet at Clarevale Reserve, off Travis Country Drive, at 11.30am, and a barbecue will be held for the planters at 12.15pm. The tower will be opened at 1pm along with the launch of a song, called Hey Pukeko, specially written for the Travis Wetland.

Further information: Kay Holder or John Skilton on 382 1678.
