NZEI elects new national executive

The following members were elected to the national executive yesterday at the 116th annual meeting of NZEI Te Riu Roa.
Primary sector: Bruce Adin, Otahuhu; Karl Arnesen, Christchurch; Irene Cooper, Waikato; Tiahuia Kawe-Small, Murihiku Southland; Brian Laing, Auckland; Caroline Mareko, Wellington; Daniel Mateer, Manawatu; Frances Nelson, North Shore; Geoffrey Neville, Kaipara; Robyn Tataurangi, Auckland; Alan Taylor, Taranaki; Nigel Wilson, Otago.
Early childhood sector: Donna Mason, Rotorua; Dawn Osman, Wanganui; Jenny Varney, Heretaunga.
Support staff sector: Michelle Maguren, Wainuiomata; Kathy Welch, Auckland; Margaret Thomas, Murihiku Southland.
Te Reo Areare (Maori national council): Hone Niwa, Taranaki; Judith Nowotarski, Te Ngaio Tu; Winnie Emery, Te Arawa.
The new executive takes up office in January 2000.
