MIT LAUNCHES NEW STRATEGIC PLAN
Manukau Institute of Technology today launched their new Strategic Plan (2018-2023).
“The plan sets out how we will provide the best possible education for our students,” says MIT Chief Executive, Gus Gilmore. “We’ve set some bold targets to make sure we produce in-demand, well-rounded graduates with excellent employment opportunities.”
“This represents another step in our journey to ensure that the community has access to world class teaching and facilities, such as our new Tech Park, which is due to open in mid-2020.”
Key goals of the plan are to:
• Grow lifelong learning
• Raise learners’ outcomes
• Maximise relevance to employers
• Add value through targeted research
The Strategic Plan also focuses on helping students prepare for the disrupted future of work, address sustainability, and safety and wellbeing.
