Ako Aotearoa, a Government funded organisation delivering high quality professional learning development opportunities to New Zealand’s tertiary teachers, trainers and educators has signed an agreement to use the iQualify learning platform for their course delivery.
iQualify is a next generation online learning platform which has been created with the learner in mind. Mobile responsive, it can be used on any device, offering anytime, anywhere learning opportunities.
Created in-house by Open Polytechnic, iQualify has been designed to offer an engaging and motivating experience for learners and includes the ability for learners to create social notes and private study notes within the online learning resources.
“Professional learning and development is a key activity for Ako Aotearoa in supporting good practice in tertiary teaching and learning. We want an easy to use system that provides an exceptional learner experience and think that iQualify will help provide this,” says John Milne, Senior Advisor Professional Learning at Ako Aotearoa.
Open Polytechnic Chief Executive, Dr Caroline Seelig, says Ako Aotearoa joins a growing number of education related organisations who have chosen iQualify to meet their online learning delivery needs.
“As New Zealand’s specialist provider of online and distance education, Open Polytechnic used its 70 years of expertise in the field to create iQualify, following our research which showed there was a need for a more learner-centric, engaging online learning platform.”
“Since we first made the platform available to commercial partners in 2015, we have seen significant growth in the number of education related organisations using it, including Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs), Industry Training Organisations, Universities, Private Training Establishments and organisations who deliver continuing professional development. We’re really thrilled to welcome Ako Aotearoa on board as our newest commercial client to iQualify,” says Dr Seelig.
