Te Rito Maioha’s 11 teaching bases open for business in 2019

Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood New Zealand’s 11 teaching bases – situated across the country from Whangarei to Dunedin – are now open for business again.

‘Our teaching bases provide students and members with venues to come together and study, share experiences, talk to our teaching staff, and gain support,” says Te Rito Maioha Deputy Chief Executive, John Diggins.

‘We are proud that we offer students and members this service, which – given the geographical spread of our teaching bases – sets us apart from our competitors.

‘Being an early childhood education student, teacher or manager can be quite taxing. Our students and members say they really value being able to call into a teaching base for advice and support.’

Te Rito Maioha starts teaching its programmes in early February 2019.

‘We are pleased to see an increase in applications, thanks to our new programmes and the publicity that early childhood education has received in the past year,’ says John.

‘But, if you have missed out on our February intake, don’t worry as we have a mid-year intake starting in July 2019 for several programmes.

‘We are also offering professional learning and development for members and non-members throughout the year.’
