The Global Reimagine Education awards are designed to identify the most outstanding initiatives aimed at enhancing higher education. At this year’s event, New Zealand’s foremost specialist postgraduate education facility, The Mind Lab, won three awards at the ceremony held in San Francisco last week.
Recognised for their Postgraduate Digital and Collaborative Teacher qualification, The Mind Lab took Gold for the category Oceania Regional Award, Bronze for Engineering and Technology Discipline and Bronze for its Educational App, the Digital Passport.
These global awards are the ‘Oscars of Higher Education’, attracting over 1150 educational innovators from 39 countries across the world.
The Mind Lab’s National Postgraduate Director, Dr David Parsons, was at the ceremony to accept the awards on behalf of The Mind Lab and says he's thrilled at the global recognition.
“The Mind Lab’s continued success is a testament to its excellent facilitators who are dedicated to enhancing digital fluency and supporting educators across New Zealand.
“Building on our core philosophy of digital and collaborative learning, and education leadership we are committed to contemporary practice to ensure educators are progressing their knowledge of 21st Century contexts at the same time as their students explore new industries, new technologies and as they plan for the future of work.
“Our work at The Mind Lab embodies innovative and engaging learning approaches that empower teachers to evolve their practice to enrich classroom interaction to the benefit of all learners.”
