Hundreds of events will showcase adult learning opportunities in Aotearoa during the adult and community education (ACE) Festival of Adult Learning, September 3-9. Whether it’s te reo, sign language, cartooning or cooking wild food, there’ll be something for everyone.
In 2018, Adult and Community Education (ACE) Aotearoa is inviting everyone to once again think about what they would like to learn or to pursue their passion to sing, dance, live sustainably, to fill a skill or knowledge gap or start a conversation about the value of learning something new.
The Festival of Adult Learning Ahurei Ākonga will be launched at Rutherford College in West Auckland on Saturday, September 1 followed by a learning expo at the Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre featuring dozens of providers offering learning opportunities.
During the festival week, September 3-9, event organisers all over the country will highlight the achievements of second chance learners, and offer a huge range of quirky and conventional learning experiences for anyone interested in having a go. They will also be promoting how lifelong learning stimulates the brain, gets people off the couch and creates vibrant communities.
