Ako Aotearoa Appoints Acting-Director
Ako Aotearoa is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Lomax as its Acting-Director – to take effect from the beginning of February next year for a period of six months.
The move provides a seamless transition as the organisation prepares to farewell its current Director, Dr Stanley Frielick at that time.
The announcement was made jointly by Ako Aotearoa Board Chair Dr Graeme Benny and Massey University Assistant Vice-Chancellor Professor Giselle Byrnes at an all-staff meeting yesterday afternoon.
Helen Lomax has held her current role as the Deputy Director Sector Services, Ako Aotearoa, for the past two and a-half years. Her knowledge of the sector, combined with involvement in strategically shaping Ako Aotearoa’s future, leaves her well placed to drive the organisations’ exciting developments forward in 2018.
