Ara Ready for Increase in Student Enrolments in 2018
In light of the new Government’s promise to implement fees free tertiary study for the first year of study, Ara is ready and prepared to accept an increase in enrolments for 2018.
“We are hearing anecdotally that while prospective students are keen to take advantage of how the new fees free first year study is implemented, they are in many cases hanging back to see what conditions may be applied before they are enrolling,” said Ara Chief Executive, Tony Gray.
“Prior to the election Ara committed to a “Study for Free” initiative for 2018 for students 18 or under for Level 1-3 and we remain committed to this initiative. We are also awaiting advice from TEC and the Government regarding how the fees free policy will be implemented across the first year of tertiary study.”
In the meantime, Ara strongly encourages students to discuss with us their interest and application for 2018 courses; the appropriate fees free funding decision will be managed by us when the details of the new policy are advised!
