Host Families Needed in July 2017 - Community Call Out

Published: Wed 24 May 2017 04:40 PM
OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO EXPERIENCE ANOTHER CULTURE, MAKE NEW FRIENDS
AND IMPROVE THEIR LANGUAGE STUDIES AT HOME
This July, we will be receiving exchange students from Finland, Germany, Italy and Sweden. Our new arrivals will live with a host family and attend a local school for 3, 5 or 10 months. We are urgently seeking suitable families who might be interested to host a student.
Host families come in all shapes and sizes, backgrounds and ages. To this end, we would be grateful if you would place a notice in your newsletter or mention it on your website. You can download two variations of the newsletter notice here in pdf or jpg
Hosting an exchange student can be a truly rewarding experience. It allows a family to experience a foreign culture first hand, be exposed to a new language and pass on a bit of our own culture. They might even make a friend for life!
All students have at least basic levels of English, would attend a school in your local area and live the life of a local, just like Viki, who is currently being hosted by a wonderful family in New Zealand and enjoying every moment of her exchange. Viki recently had this to say:
"What an amazing country! New Zealand has the most beautiful scenery and has many great outdoor activities at our door step. I feel privileged to share a part of this great culture. I can’t stop smiling!!!"
Viki
For every exchange student there is a host family somewhere in the world willing to open their home and their hearts to an adventurous young person. Host families are what make the exchange experience possible.
All students are looking forward to becoming part of your family and experiencing life as an 'Aussie kid'. Our group of students cover a wide variety of interests and hobbies. If you would like further information on our inbound students you can click through to our website here. Our staff members will be happy to discuss which student might be best suited to a family.
