ARTBOURNE 2016 – famous artists’ exhibit for sale at Wellington school, Wellesley College, to raise funds for scholarships. 3 – 6 November.
The Wellington art scene is gearing
up for the biennial exhibition of local and national artists
to be exhibited at boys school, Wellesley, in Eastbourne, in
its ARTBOURNE 2016 exhibition.
Headline artists
exhibiting for sale include: Stanley Palmer (image
attached), Tony Lane, Simon Kaan, Martin Poppelwell, Michel
Tuffery (image attached), Sam Duckor-Jones as well as many
emerging contemporary artists and sculptors. A total of 75
artists will be exhibited. A curated selection of current
students’ art will also be for sale.
This event is
well known for bringing together art, pathways to creative
careers and education. It is a chance for well-known and
emerging artists to exhibit recent works; it inspires
students to explore pathways to creative careers; and is an
opportunity to raise funds for students who would otherwise
be unable to financially access the school.
The
artists donate 30% of the exhibition sale proceeds to
Promising Futures for Boys scholarship fund. The ARTBOURNE
exhibition will be open Friday 4th November from 8.20am to
4.00pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 5th and 6th of November
from 11.00 to 4.00pm, with the ARTBOURNE café running
onsite.
