Independent  Schools  of  New  Zealand  (ISNZ)  are  pleased  to  announce  the  appointment of Ms Sally King as Executive Director, effective 21 December.

Ms King has held senior roles in membership-based organisations and in public sector policy and strategy development. Ms King also has extensive experience in marketing in the private sector.

Chairperson  of  ISNZ  Dr  Murray  Sim  welcomes  the  appointment  of  Ms  King.  "Sally will bring excellent relationship building skills and a proven track record in successful marketing and strategy.

Her expertise will be invaluable as we look to make a noticeable impact across a number of fronts, including making an effective contribution to the Government’s review of the Education Act."

Ms  King  takes  over  from  interim  Executive  Director  Gail  Thomson  who  has  been acting in the role for the past six months since the departure of Deborah James who held the role for seven years.

ISNZ is the national body representing 48 private schools in New Zealand with over 25,000 students.

Member schools are some the highest performing in the world - PISA results show the New Zealand private school sector ranks among the top three countries in the world.
