All go for Hobsonville Point Early Learning Centre

Auckland, 18 February 2015: There is no doubt Thursday the 22nd January was a red letter day for Northern Auckland Kindergarten Association Inc. and the community of Hobsonville Point, the rapidly growing township in North West Auckland.

The 22nd was the day construction of a brand new building providing an all-day service for children aged between 6 months and 5 years, got under way. Designed by award winning architect Phil Smith the building which will open in the third term of 2015 will provide a service for 60 children, 20 under 2’s and 40 over 2’s and will represent the best features and philosophy of both kindergarten and childcare centres. The Association’s General Manager, Garth Halliday, says “The service will be available for the long days required by some families and will provide 100% qualified and registered teachers to ensure the best possible care and education for all the children attending.”

Mr Halliday adds “We have been most fortunate to be able to work with the staff of Hobsonville Point Primary School to operate a service inside the school since September 2014 which has enabled us to build great relationships with the school staff and the local community as we ready for the new centre.” He concludes with “We are delighted that we will soon be able to provide such a high quality early learning centre to serve the community of this area”.
