ACG finishes 2014 with fourth educational acquisition

December 2014, Queenstown

ACG has had a phenomenal year of expansion and is ending it on a high by adding two more preschools to their portfolio of 13 schools and tertiary colleges in New Zealand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

The leading educational services provider has just purchased the ZigZagZoo preschools in Queenstown, bringing their total of preschools to six. And it's far from the end of this expansion with the new ACG Tauranga due to open in February 2015.

ZigZagZoo has two popular facilities in Queenstown: in Henry Street in the town centre, and in the Remarkables Park. "ACG is an ideal parent company to take the business forward," says Mike Stewart, founder and ex-owner of the preschool. "There is an excellent fit between our learning centres, built on a common vision of a commitment to quality education for our youngest students. This is a very positive outcome for us."

Earlier this year ACG acquired Yoobee School of Design and New Zealand Career College (NZCC) with campuses in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and in October they bought training school NZMA’s three campuses housing 3000 students.

ACG Group Chief Executive, Owen Daji, says the group is continuing to diversify its portfolio of high quality educational services. "ACG's capabilities now cover several offerings from early childhood education right through to secondary and tertiary plus training services. We are continuing to build a robust and varied portfolio of independent educational services, true to the vision of our founders to give our students access to the best education, and help our communities lift educational performance and career outcomes."

From one school of 120 students 20 years ago, the ACG story just keeps getting more impressive. As the company grows, so do the advantages to each individual school; bigger buying power, more support, increased resources, more professional development all mean great outcomes for the students. And 2015 promises to continue on this same trajectory. Watch this space.
