Project Management and Change: Two New Business Majors at NorthTec
Project management and transformation and change, are exciting and demanding aspects of business that span most industries. New study options at NorthTec offer the opportunity to specialize in either of these applied management aspects.
Business, banking, event management, IT, construction, hospitality, government, health and manufacturing all require project planning expertise as well as management skills, to ensure projects are completed successfully on time and within budget.
The project management major has been introduced to NorthTec’s Bachelor of Applied Management starting in July. It complies with the Project Management Institute (PMI) academic requirements for the Certified Associate in Project Management Certification (CAPM®) so graduates can become a Project Management professional (PMP®). These PMI credentials offer international recognition of a project management practitioner’s skills and capabilities and distinguish graduates in the job market.
Api Thomas has already enrolled for the course. Api - “I am excited about the new project management major. It focuses on leading change. I want to be a leader.”
