Masterclass with Valve/Weta Concept Artist
Laura Dubuk has designed, modelled and textured environments for Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead and Portal 2 at Valve. Now she’s taking a break from her new role at Weta to host a weekend masterclass at Media Design School March 22 and 23.
Day One: Laura will begin the day discussing Valve’s multi-award winning Portal 2, including the processes involved with building this meticulously crafted game. Laura will also present techniques she used when creating key levels, including her method of breaking down scenes into basic shapes for interesting and thoughtful design.
Day Two: This hands-on intensive day will centre around a level design challenge where the knowledge learned on Day One will be put into action. Laura will be on hand to discuss your work with you and provide valuable critique.
Just 20 spaces available. Tickets $250 for the weekend - get yours now.
